![]() Live Performance at Thatcham Library |
Timespan's last Millennium project event was held at The Thatcham
Library on Saturday 7th October.
Library users were treated to readings of The Ruin by Charles Spicer
and four commissioned poems from Richard Westall:
Live music for the event was a suitable mix of ancient and modern
with Mark T. and Charles Spicer introducing and concluding the event
with four early medieval tunes on English bagpipes and cittern.
The readings were accompanied by a small soundbeam group composed of
Ashlyn Honey, Tony and Greta Doak and Mark T. providing the music for
both 'The Ruin' and 'Time Was'.
Richard's first anthology of poems; 'Soft Bombs' will be due out
towards the end of October. Copies will be available from Circle of
Sound for £4 including postage and packing.
