Time-Spanners first multi-media performance of 'Drive the Cold Winter Away' was an unqualified success and was glowingly received by a capacity audience at Newbury library on Saturday 19th of November.
Many thanks to Ruth and all the staff at the library for helping to make it a memorable event!

M.P. Richard Benyon Helps Time Spanners
Celebrate World Mental Health Day

The M.P. for West Berkshire, Richard Benyon, joined the Time Spanner percussion section at the Wharf, Newbury, on Monday 10th October where the Spanners were helping to raise awareness of World Mental Health Day.
Richard spent a considerable amount of the morning at the event and took time out to listen to the band and talk to its participants.
The Time Spanners played a tight set which harked back to their Samba Band roots and Richard and his team seemed to be well impressed by their performance.

European Social Fund Workshops Bring In New Spanners
A range of workshops and training events were run from October to December.
All of them funded by Berkshire's Global Grants / ESF initiative.
The workshops were extremely successful in encouraging new participants to join the Time Spanner team whilst old hands were introduced to new multi-media technology.
Prize for the most inspirational workshop must go to David Jackson... prize for the most far reaching must be multi-media - particularly the one which introduced the Korg Kaos pad - a mind boggling real-time video effects unit!
We have a few more workshops still to run at the start of 2006 but hope to get further ESF funding in order that we may extend skills still further.
