... liked the treatment of Seeds of Love; it totally changes the feel of the song in much the same way that
the Oysterband changed Oxford Girl from a jingly sort of feel to a wonderful swing time... Ron

About The Recordings:
Five tracks from the original Rootdogs 'lost' blues album.(The other three could not be included for copywrite reasons).
These tracks were recorded immediately after a 1997 tour of the North of England by the original three piece, acoustic, version of the band featuring Fran Wood, Mark T. and Mysterious Bob.
All tracks were recorded by Tim Wood, in his bedroom, onto an analogue eight track and then mixed down to digital cassette. Virtually no effects were used, apart from a 1970's reverb unit, because Tim did not have any effects! All tracks were recorded live with no overdubs apart from the odd second harmony vocal.
These were the Rootdog's in '97... and its damn pretty near what they sounded like live!
Line up:
Fran Wood - Vocals, percussion
Mark T. - Vocals, National (Islander) Resophonic Guitar, Fender Telecaster (on Short Man)
Mysterious Bob - Congas, Bongos, Darabuka
Keith Holloway played bass with the electric band - but did not appear on these recordings.

Shortman rocks ! Lets hear it for Danny DeVito !! - Fran
The 'Seeds of Love' sounds a lot like the Oyster Band - Ron
